La Bergerie is a lovely spacious family home which has been fully renovated and extremely comfortably furnished. The house is situated in a peaceful unspoilt valley overlooking vineyards and the ancient hill-top village and castle of Grimaud. The house is approached by electric gates leading to a large outdoor parking area with a covered space for two cars. The house is set back off the road and very secluded. The house comprises four large double bedrooms, three en-suite with super king size beds and one with twin beds, and its own shower room with WC. In the main house there are two en-suite double bedrooms and a small bedroom if required for a baby with a cot and changing area. There is a beautiful well equipped kitchen, dining room with french windows leading onto a south facing terraced garden and drawing room with french windows leading out onto the main large terrace. An interconnecting door leads into the cremerie which accommodates the main sitting room which has two large sofas with arm chairs and a small dining table with chairs. There is a 40” Smart TV with most satellite channels and a blu ray DVD player. There are also french doors leading out onto a large terrace with views of the castle. Two double bedrooms are located in this section of the house, one en-suite and the other with a separate shower room with WC. The pool house has a shower with WC and a small fitted kitchen with a dishwasher, oven, fridge/freezer etc. The house is fully equipped with wireless internet access and each bedroom along with the large sitting room has air-conditioning, each with its own remote control and can be programmed for the perfect temperature. The House has large well furnished terraces which include french wrought iron sofas with cushions along with teak sun loungers and a set of 4 wicker chairs with a small dining table. There are also sun loungers available for the small sun bathing area next to the pool. The pool is set in a secluded garden amongst olive trees and overlooks a vineyard and continuous views up to the castle of Grimaud. There is a larger dining table with 8 wrought iron chairs set under a rose covered wrought iron pergola, overlooking the pool and is perfect at all times of the day, from leisurely breakfasts/lunches to romantic dinners and watching the sunsets behind the citadel or the glorious floodlit ruins of the castle as darkness falls. It’s only a short stroll across the vines to stock up on the organic wine of St. Michael, or just before the house, you can walk in and pick up some local honey to accompany your breakfast. The House is only 8 Kms from St Tropez with its shops, restaurants and night life. It’s about 2 Kms from the nearest beaches and Port Grimaud. The two closest golf courses are at Beauvallon and St Tropez. For year round security at the house, there is a small guardian’s apartment which is occupied by a charming young lady called Sabine. She works for a high-end hospitality company which can arrange any specific requirements, such as chauffeured cars, helicopters, chefs, staff, beach reservations, night clubs etc. Her number will be provided on arrival. She has no access to the rest of the house, pool or garden while tenants/guests are in residence. She has a small private enclosed terrace at the back of the house. A French, English speaking lady (Denise) known as “Den”, will be on hand to let people in and explain everything. The rental includes all electricity, gas, water and bed linen charges. Wireless internet access is also provided. The Pool is alarmed for the security of small children.
